College men's basketball coach accused of punching official

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say a college men's basketball coach in Wisconsin has been arrested for allegedly punching an official after a game.

The State Journal reports that UW-Rock County coach Jamal Mosley is accused of punching Madison official Pat Henderson after Rock County's loss at UW-Waukesha on Wednesday night.

Mosley was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and battery. He has not been formally charged.

A UW Colleges spokeswoman says Mosley has been placed on paid leave and an internal investigation fvtc basketball being conducted.

Mosley was hired to coach UW-Rock County's men's basketball team in Previously, he was the coach of men's and women's basketball at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton.

Henderson declined to comment about the incident but says he has officiated basketball games for 33 years.

Fox Valley Technical College (Fox Valley Tech or FVTC) is a publictechnical college in Grand Chute, fvtc basketball, Wisconsin. It is a member of the Wisconsin Technical College System and serves people in the Appleton, Wisconsin/Fox Cities area. It serves about 50, people each year and offers more than associate degree, fvtc basketball, technical diploma, and certificate programs as well as instruction related to 20 apprenticeship trades. It has credit transfer agreements with more than 30 four-year colleges and universities.

The main campus is in Grand Chute with a second campus in Oshkosh. FVTC has smaller regional centers in Chilton, Clintonville, Waupaca, and Wautoma. It also operates a Public Safety Training Center in Greenville.


Starting incity vocational schools were formed at six locations (Appleton, Brillion, Kaukauna, Menasha, Neenah, and Oshkosh) in the current district. Inthe Wisconsin Legislature divided the state into sixteen districts, which led to the formation of Fox Valley Technical Institute (FVTI). Inthe college (along with all of the state technical colleges) was renamed and it became known as Fox Valley Technical College.

Special programs and facilities[edit]

Public Safety Training Center[edit]

InFVTC opened their Public Safety Training Center in Greenville on the south end of Appleton International Airport. The center contains multiple state of the art simulators as well as a mock town to train students enrolled in the school's public safety programs.[1] The center has a Boeing which was donated by FedEx Express.[2] The facility is also used frequently by public safety agencies all over the United States for their regular training. Pierce Manufacturing also uses the center to test out their new fire apparatus.

In October ccm slick tiles hockey flooring, FVTC started work on a $ million expansion of the center which is being funded by the Federal Aviation Administration, fvtc basketball. The expansion will add facilities for aircraft firefighting training which will be used by aircraft rescue and firefighting personal from airports across the United States.[3]

Flight school[edit]

FVTC has an FAA certified flight school offering pilot training, fvtc basketball, Aircraft maintenance technician (A&P), and aircraft electronics programs. The school is located in Oshkosh on the eastern edge of Wittman Regional Airport.[4]

Ione's Dining Room[edit]

FVTC's Appleton campus houses Ione's, fvtc basketball, a student-operated "full-service fine dining room and a premier learning lab for Culinary Arts students."[5] The department of Culinary, Hotel and Restaurant Management had wanted to remodel the dining room and a gift from Ione Berg helped bring the goal to fruition.[6] "Restaurant Operations, the course that is housed in Ione's Dining Room, is the capstone course of the College's Culinary Arts program. Students are expected to bring their skills together there, including all the cooking components, as well as management and leadership."[7]

Fox Valley Tech teams to join conference

GRAND CHUTE - Fox Valley Technical College will start a new era of athletic competition this fall when it joins the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference boardworks solr stand up paddle board review men’s and women’s basketball.

FVTC will join the WCC as the 14th men’s team and the 12th women’s team. The Foxes will compete in the Western Division.

“Joining fvtc basketball WCC brings inclusiveness to our student-athletes,” FVTC athletic director and student life coordinator John Rank said in a release. “Knowing they’re part of a state conference enhances their college experience and provides a sense of closure to the season.”

The Foxes will also have new coaches for the basketball season. Freddy Yalden will coach the women, while Barry Harris will coach the men.

Yalden had a previous stint as an assistant coach at Ripon College, where she helped guide the Red Hawks to a Midwest Conference championship in Most recently, Yalden served as an assistant coach for the University of Nebraska-Kearney, an NCAA Division II school.

Yalden is a Milwaukee native who earned five letters at Beaver Dam High School before basketball careers at Madison Area Technical College and Northern Kentucky University.

Harris has 25 years of basketball coaching experience, including time at Lawrence University, and high school stints at Green Bay Preble, Oconto Falls, Chilton, Kewaunee and Madison West.

Harris, fvtc basketball, a native of Dearborn, Michigan, earned his master’s degree from UW-Oshkosh.

The FVTC women begin their season Nov, fvtc basketball. fvtc basketball and the men open play Nov. All home games are played at UW-Fox Valley.

Kittel earns honor: Concordia University Wisconsin’s Eric Kittel has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Man of the Year for the academic year, as chosen by the league’s Senior Woman Administrators Standing Committee.

Kittel, a Brillion native, was a four-year member of the men’s basketball team. After being named to the NACC All-Freshman Team his rookie season, he earned three consecutive All-NACC first-team honors as he became the school’s all-time leading scorer.

Kittel graduated in May with a degree in sport and entertainment management. He had a GPA and was a four-time NACC scholar-athlete. The two-time team captain was also a four-year member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, fvtc basketball, an assistant coordinator with Special Olympics and a team leader with the Kapco Charitable Challenge.

Neenah to re-dedicate tennis courts: One of Neenah’s longtime coaches will be honored posthumously on July 26 when the Neenah Joint School District re-dedicates the Ivy Williams tennis courts near Shattuck Middle School. A brief program will begin at 5 p.m. and light refreshments will be served.

The Williams courts were constructed in the mids when Shattuck served fvtc basketball the high school. The courts were originally dedicated in honor of Williams on Aug. 31,and served the varsity and junior varsity tennis teams, fvtc basketball, summer park and recreation programs and Shattuck physical education classes.

The courts fell into disrepair fvtc basketball have not been used for over a decade. The District and the Friends of Neenah Tennis booster club combined to fund the reconstruction of the courts, which was completed in late June.

Sabin signs pro deal: Ty Sabin, the all-time leading scorer in Ripon College basketball history, has signed a contract to play for the Horsholm 79ers in Horsholm, Denmark.

Sabin was a first-team All-American this past season and was named the Midwest Conference player of the year for the third time.

A native of New Berlin, Sabin was named NABC Central District and casinoextra.fr Central Region Player of the Year inleading all of Division III in scoring with points per game.

Sabin started all 98 games during his career with the Red Hawks, scoring in double figures each time, and finishing his career leading the NCAA, across all divisions, in career scoring average among active players ( ppg). Anthony Miller II is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he attended North Division High School. His three year varsity basketball career proved him successful as he received the All Conference Honorable Mention and 2nd Team All Conference awards. Anthony went on to continue his athletic career at UW – Oshkosh, although here he hit pause on the court shoes and picked up cleats and shoulder pads to play football for the Titans.

Anthony currently holds a position as the Academic & Resource Advisor for Fox Valley Technical College. He also served as the FVTC Assistant Basketball coach for the season. InAnthony coached the Wisconsin Game Changers, the Fox Valley&#;s only semi-professional men&#;s basketball team. He has accumulated over 8 years of personal training and youth basketball coaching experience.

In Anthony&#;s words, “My coaching philosophy emphasizes responsibility, accountability, team camaraderie, competing and giving maximum effort at all times. Effort is always rewarded! Offense fvtc basketball games, defense wins championships.”
