Copy of your child's YEAR END report card – third quarter report cards will not be accepted

Practice is held at Veteran's Park, wilmington youth football, Wilmington.  Football teams practice up to 10 hours per week until school starts (Monday – Friday) and then it drops to no more than 6 hours per week. Cheer is able to practice the same amount of time, but usually practices less. All practices will be held from wilmington youth football - 8 p.m, wilmington youth football, unless otherwise stated by the coach, on weeknights from the first week in August until the end of Oct.

Tackle football players must meet 10 hours of conditioning before pads are worn.  Then must meet another 10 hours of conditioning with pads before scrimmaging.

Your child needs a parent or guardian to attend practice in the event of an injury or a shortened practice due to unforeseen events such as inclement weather.  Proper equipment and water or a sports drink is also required.


FOOTBALL IS PLAYED IN THE RAIN – practice and games.  Coaches or team moms will contact you if practice is cancelled due to weather or field closure.  Updates are posted on website and Facebook. 

Do not assume that practice is cancelled when other area fields are closed.  We are fortunate that the Veterans Park fields drain well, so often we are having practices when other area fields are closed.    Coaches will let you know the status of practice during inclement weather. 

Coaches are encouraged to have a Lightening app on their phones.  We monitor and cancel practice accordingly as summer thunderstorms pop up.


Games are held on Saturdays.  Panther’s “home field” located at Myrtle Grove Middle School.  Away games can be held at the following locations:

Coastal Bengals - Trask Middle School (College Road)
Topsail Pirates - Kiwanis Park, Hampstead
Eagles - Williston Middle School
Coastal Cowboys - Ogden Park

If you have multiple kids playing in different age groups or kids in both football and cheer – sometimes you will have a kid at one game in one part of the county and another kid at a completely different game in another part of the county.  It can get hectic traveling from place to place.  Get to know the other parents on the team so you can share rides or offer to share wilmington youth football League creates the schedule for all the associations.  We typically have our season schedule announced the last week in August, only a few days before our first game.  The season schedule is posted on the Panther’s website, Facebook site and emailed as soon as we get it.  Just a heads up, for the past 5 years, football season has kicked off over Labor Day weekend and will again this year. 


Helmets and game jerseys are provided for football players (shoulder pads are provided for Tiny Mites) and are the property of Pop Warner Panthers.  Equipment must be returned to the association at the end of the season, wilmington youth football.  All equipment not returned by Nov. 15th is subject to a $25 equipment late fee.

Coastal Pop Warner receives a portion of our fees for insurance and league fees. The remaining fees are used by Pop Warner Panthers for player and coaching equipment, scholarships, wilmington youth football, home games, and administrative operating costs. Football equipment is very expensive; helmets cost $ and jerseys cost from $ each. Based on this, wilmington youth football, please understand that it is important to take care of our equipment and turn in all equipment at the end of the season.  Parents or guardians will be billed for equipment not returned.


The below prices are for gently used and new equipment and can be purchased locally or online.

Practice Jersey: $15 (some used available for $5- will be sold during the 1st week of practice)

Mouthpiece (cannot be clear/with helmet attachment): varies


Jr Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Jr, wilmington youth football. Varsity, Varsity and Unlimited football and cheer are our competitive teams.  Our competitive teams have been successful in the past few years and have all played in post season games and events.  For competitive teams, the season can go into November and December.  Costs, fundraising and original birth certificates are required for many post-season events.  Coaches and team moms will keep you informed.​

Two Wilmington Hurricane Youth Football Program teams are looking to repeat as Western Ohio Junior Football Conference champions.

The Hurricane third- and fourth-graders will play Sunday afternoon at Roush Stadium in Kettering in the championship games of their respective grade level title games, looking to avenge losses during the regular season.

The fourth grade will face the Springfield Titans at 3 p.m. The third grade will meet Springboro at 1 p.m.

Tickets are $3 each and can be purchased at the gate the day of the game.

The fourth-grade team went this season, missing two games due to Covid. The only loss of the season was to the Titans

The third-grade Hurricane posted a record with the only loss to Springboro.

The third- and fourth-grade teams won wilmington youth football. The season was cancelled because of Covid

The fourth grade Hurricane football team will play for the WOJFC championship 3 p.m. Sunday at Roush Stadium in Kettering.

Flag Football

We play Family-Friendly Flag-football for ages 6 to   Our program includes an official NFL Flag reversible Jersey, NFL Flag belt and flags, wilmington youth football, 8 regular season games and a player’s award.  This is a % volunteer coaching program and training is provided. YMCA staff guidance is provided throughout the season.  Canadian tire hockey toaster is a program to ensure players have fun in a non-contact football game.  The YMCA Flag Football Program has partnered with USA Football and use the NFL Flag Rule Book, guidelines and coaching resources.

On-time Registration for Spring  ends on February 5th. After this date there is a $20 late registration processing fee.

Players may play up one age division (8-year-old could play in the U12 division).

Players may not play down a division (9-year-old could not play in the U9 division).

Players may not play up more than two age divisions (8-year-old could not play in the middle school division).
