Hamilton junior basketball tournament - amusing

Who: 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls basketball "A" teams.
          Teams must be comprised of players from the same school district. 
          Feeder teams only. Parochial schools accepted.
          No AAU or All-Star teams permitted.

When: Saturday, March 12, 2022

Where: Silver Spring Intermediate School ("SSI") - 4th and 6th grades
             Templeton Middle School ("TMS") - 3rd and 7th grades             
             Hamilton High School ("HHS") - 5th and 8th grades

Format: 8 teams per grade. 3 games guaranteed. Play, sit, play format.

Awards: Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places (12 max per team)

Entry Fee: $200

Register: Fill out Google form or e-mail the below registration form to Janice Rush to confirm availability.  Once confirmed, payment will be due within two weeks.

Admissions: $5 for adults, $2 for students, free to kids 5 and under, all military personnel with ID, up to 12 rostered players and two rostered coaches per team.

  BLITZ BASKETBALL

In the 2018-2019 season, the blitz donated the collection from our uniform night/canned food drive to a local hs (St. thomas more) and their famous ‘we scare hunger’ halloween food drive. the blitz also made a financial contribution to this great cause as well. along with this, the blitz donated, financially, to several school’s co-instructional programs, best buddies programs and two local HS tournaments.

durIng 2017-2018 Season, BLITZ BASKETBALL DONATED $850 TO OUR 13 PARTNER SCHOOLS TO BE USED AS GRAD AWARDS/MVPs FOR DESERVING STUDENTS as well as free entries to our camps and house league to deserving players as chosen by their schools. THE BLITZ ALSO DONATED ANOTHER $1200 TO LOCAL SCHOOL PROGRAMS SUCH AS BEST BUDDIES, cancer assistance, FOOD DRIVES AND OTHER SCHOOL/COMMUNITY NEEDS. AS WELL, $500 AND 500 POUNDS OF FOOD WERE DONATED TO ANCASTER COMMUNITY SERVICES THROUGH OUR 'DINNER FOR A CAUSE NIGHT' HOSTED BY COACH HANN AND HIS U13 BOYS TEAM. THANK YOU TO LONE STAR (MEADOWLANDS) FOR HOSTING AND THEIR FINANCIAL SUPPORT.

Please ensure while attending any basketball activity at HILAC that children under the age of 10 years are constantly supervised.  In the past Hilac Staff have found children as young as 3 years wandering on the pool deck or in the opposite sex toilets unsupervised.  Hilac Staff ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE for your child.  Please ensure you are aware where your child is at all times, lets be pro active and not wait for an incident to occur.  We need to keep these prescious little people safe from any potential harm.

Secondary School Basketball in the Waikato Region is organised by Waikato Secondary School Basketball, Waikato Country Basketball, Te Aroha Basketball and Thames Valley Basketball Associations.  Please contact your local zone body for more information on weekly basketball competitions.

To compete at the New Zealand Secondary School Basketball Championships, schools must qualify through the Zone 2 Regional Competition which is held during winter tournament week. They are two divisions, the “A” division for small schools (CoEd school with less than 600 students and single-sex schools with less than 300 students) and the “AA” competition for larger schools.

Depth of competition and appropriate age rules. 

Between leagues and tournaments we have had more than 1,200 teams play in the IYBL. Our leagues provide a great learning experience for players from the A-team level, all the way to beginners. We focus on appropriate rules for younger grades, including limited zone defense and pressing at the youngest levels. We want the kids to truly LEARN how to play the game, and our rules reflect that!

 

Gold Standard Facilities. 

Pacers Athletic Center and Finch Creek Fieldhouse are state-of-the-art facilities in Westfield and Noblesville. We pride ourselves on friendly service, healthier food, and a clean environment. 

 

Convenient Locations.

IBA is located near 465 in Carmel, IN, while The Pacers Athletic Center is only 10 minutes away from 465 in Westfield, IN. Finch Creek Fieldhouse is located near Hamilton Town Center in Noblesville, IN. Your games can be played at whichever facility is more convenient for your team.
