There are several different artificial court surfaces available in the sports surfaces market, and we at Tennis Court builders can supply them. These are macadam surfacing, polymeric surfacing, sand dressed, artificial clay courts, and artificial grass flooring:

  • Macadam Surfacing– We can install a tarmac open textured macadam surface with rich acrylic paint to suit various sports, sizes and designs.

How to Install a Tennis Court

As tennis court specialists, we can carry out a tennis court installation to the highest standards. It can be challenging to put a synthetic surface on tennis courts in place if you do not have the proper knowledge and tools. When installing the sports area, we follow these simple steps:

  1. Dig up the existing surfaces
  2. Lay the base
  3. Install the tarmac
  4. Apply the binder
  5. Paint the surface in your chosen colours with a non-slip paint
  6. Apply line markings

It is always crucial to have experts on hand to ensure that you will be getting the most outstanding results possible.

If you're interested in finding out further information, please speak to our professionals today. Fill out the contact form provided, and we will get back in touch as soon as we can.

Sport Facility Maintenance

It is essential to keep the court clean in your sports facilities using a jet wash and keeping up with the maintenance.  You need to ensure that leaves, bird droppings and other debris are kept off the tennis surface to ensure that it is safe for players to play on and not affect their playing performance.

Servicing courts need to include the provision of court area service maintenance because ongoing cleaning, pressure washing, moss/algae treatment, and re-colouring of the non-slip paint must be carried out to keep the playing characteristics and the safety of the players. This will also support playing performance.

The sports courts must meet the specifications and accreditations set out in the governing body guidelines, and this involves meeting a TRRL 55 slip resistance throughout its lifespan.

Feel free to speak to us for more details about the prices to install a sports court at a school, club or home facility.

If you'd like to speak to our local tennis court contractors regarding sport facility maintenance, make sure you fill out your details on the enquiry form provided on this page. We will make sure that one of our experts will get back to you at the earliest opportunity to answer any questions or queries that you may have.

Tennis Court Construction

When constructing a tennis court in Haslemere GU27 2 you must look at various companies to find the best results. We always recommend that you ask to look at case studies and previous work of the construction company to ensure they are credible and have high standards. As sports surface specialists, we only use the best quality products to achieve the best results.

Please let us know if you're interested in finding out more; you can speak to a member of our team.

Tennis Court Services in Haslemere

Players on the tennis courts, whether on private garden areas, school MUGA courts, professional tennis clubs, etc., want to play on a safe tennis surface.

So the maintenance procedures are vital in ensuring annual programmes are put in place for essential repairs and weed growth prevention for better ball bounce. Other maintenance procedures include jet wash cleaning and respraying anti-slip coloured coatings with new line marking, which can also improve the appearance of your facility.

Re-spraying and re-colouring the courts can be carried out only in dry conditions and are applied using an airless spray with either acrylic paint or polyurethane painted materials.

Both water-based acrylic paint and polyurethane paint can be sprayed onto the surface on an open textured porous macadam surface. Normally, a binder coat is recommended to strengthen the existing macadam surfacing. On polymeric rubber sports court surfaces, only a polyurethane coating can only be used, and this is a moisture curing paint application with line markings added after the painted surface.

What causes bubbles or blisters on a tennis court surface?

When there is too much moisture underneath the court's surface and it can't leave, blisters and bubbles occur. The heat in Florida causes moisture to escape fast towards the surface, causing the trapped vapour to disrupt the connection between the coating and the substrate.

What are the different types of tennis court surfaces?

Tennis courts are made of four different types of surfaces: grass courts, artificial clay courts, natural clay courts, hard courts, and artificial grass courts.

Tennis hard courts come in a variety of colours and are composed of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt base. Because there is limited energy absorption by the court, unlike grass courts, these courts tend to play medium-speed to rapid. A clay court and a grass court only come in natural colours. A clay court is often red-brown in colour while a grass court is green.

Because there is limited energy absorption by the court, unlike grass courts, haslemere tennis club courts tend to play medium-speed to rapid, haslemere tennis club. A clay court and a grass court only come in natural colours. A clay court is often red-brown in colour while a grass court is green.

Sport Haslemere have made disability sport a key focus for the future as we try to make sport a practical and attractive lifestyle choice for disabled people. We want to get more disabled people playing sport.

In the local area Frensham Pond Sailability, Haslemere Tennis Club and Swallows Trampoline Club lead the way and details of these clubs are to be found in The Clubs section. We really need other local clubs to follow their examples and be more inclusive for all levels of ability.

N.B. From experience we know that ‘pots of funding money’ for new facilities suddenly become easier to find, haslemere tennis club, when a club is actively promoting disabled sport!

Some practical advice on setting up a disabled section in your Club?

  1. The Need. Check with Treloar College Alton, Ridgeway School Farnham, Challengers, Rodborough Special Needs, Stepping Stones etc. to ensure that there is a need.
  2. Initially we suggest that you coach in the school day where there is a captive audience and your particular sport can then hopefully become of interest. Inviting various ages and various disabilities up haslemere tennis club your club in the early days can be intimidating for them.
  3. These are available from Sport England and other sources, to pay your coaches. Finding coaches in the weekdays can be challenging and paying them may be necessary.
  4. After a number of weeks, with interest and skills being learnt, it may be time to invite those that are keen up to your club for a trial session –better to be in a group however. In the long term it is rarely sustainable to carry on coaching in the school environment (staffing and financially)and this transition process needs to happen eventually.
  5. Once you have a small established group of players nicely ‘absorbed’ as best you can into your club, then you should find others who will want to join and you have a success story on your hands!
  6. The new players could be given a club shirt and become members to make them feel more inclusive. Training perhaps in a separate area if necessary, but please remember that inclusivity is so important.

Transport is always an issue, especially with stressed-out parents, so any help that the club can offer is always welcome. For more help look on the Waverley disability sport website.

Stepping Stones

Melissa Farnham (the Head) is very keen to promote sport in her excellent school at Hindhead and she has an ‘enrichment’ period between 3.00 and 4.15pm each day and she welcomes any club to send in a coach to introduce a new sport to her children.  It could be golf or polo or football or yoga or cricket – anything is possible on their astro pitch haslemere tennis club their indoor hall (with poor weather).  There are 43 children in the 11-19 year age group at Stepping Stones, as potential future sporting stars for your club!

Lucy Shuker at Stepping Stones
